Bushnell Prime 1300 rangefinder combines a 1,300-yard maximum range with ARC — Angle Range Compensation — technology that calculates the true shooting distance on uphill and downhill shots. When you're hunting from a treestand, a canyon rim, or a mountain hillside, the line-of-sight distance is longer than the actual horizontal shooting distance. ARC corrects for the angle so the number in the display is the distance you should dial your turret or hold your pin to.

Bow Mode vs. Rifle Mode

The Prime 1300 has dedicated bow and rifle modes. Bow mode prioritizes ARC output because arrow trajectory is more sensitive to angle than a rifle bullet at normal hunting distances. Rifle mode switches to displaying the angle-compensated range for long-range shooting scenarios where the extended bullet drop table applies. Both modes use the same optical system — you switch between them with the mode button.
