Reading the Flasher Display

The bottom of the water column appears as a thick red band at the outer edge of the dial. Your jig appears as a thinner mark above the bottom return — lower the jig, watch the mark descend to the bottom band. Fish appear as marks above the bottom. When a fish mark moves toward your jig mark, slow the jigging cadence. When the fish and jig marks converge and merge, you're in the strike zone — maintain or change cadence based on whether the fish commits or backs off.
