The MSR IsoPro fuel canister uses an 80/20 isobutane-propane blend rather than straight butane, which matters most in the conditions where you actually need hot coffee and cooked food: sub-freezing mornings when a butane canister loses pressure and barely produces a useful flame. Propane has a lower boiling point than isobutane, so blending it in maintains output at temperatures that would stall a pure-butane canister.

MSR IsoPro Canister Compatibility and Performance

The Lindal-valve threaded connection is the industry standard, so the 227g canister connects directly to MSR PocketRocket 2, WindBurner, and Reactor stoves, and also to most other brand canister stoves using the same thread.
