10x vs. 8x for Hunting and Wildlife

10x is the right choice when you need to identify animals at distance — reading antler mass at 400 yards, counting points on a buck at the far end of a field, or identifying a distant bird species. The trade-off is a narrower field of view and more visible hand shake compared to 8x. For stationary glassing from a tripod or resting position, 10x is superior.
